I tried the sample that came with my order and wow! I wasn't expecting much, but was very surprised to actually like it! Enough that I will continue to have some on-hand. It is so easy to whip up a batch of any size, which is nice as I'm single so I don't need a lot at a time. It will also be great for taking with in the camper.
I think store bought hummus, regardless of flavor or brand, tastes like bland, flavored sand. I tried the red pepper of these freeze dried ones and it has a ton of flavor, and a bit smoother than most store bought, prepared hummus. I had it with freeze dried pea pods. Now I may have to try it mixed in hamburger meat for burgers after reading the one review that suggested that.
Liked how easy it was to blend with water, and the smoothness. And thank you for complimentary pack of jalapeno hummus. However, it was very salty!!! especially the jalapeno hummus. Should definitely reduce sodium content or allow customers to add their own salt.
These dried mixed vegetables are delicious. I have two uses for them. One, I add them to my homemade chicken soup! It saves me lots of chopping. Additionally, I like tl have meals in a jar ready to just heat up. So, I add some of these dried vegetables, along with freeze dried chicken and some seasonings, and I have chicken veg. soup ready to be heated up whenever I want. I sometimes give these jars as gifts! These vegetables are a staple in my pantry!
The order arrived well packaged and they even added in an extra product to try.
