Quick Cancer Food Facts Everyone Should Know

1. There is a strong coloration between certain types of cancer and drinking alcohol. (14) What types of cancer you might ask? Head and neck cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer. (1)

How does alcohol increase the risk of cancer?  By metabolizing (breaking down) ethanol in alcoholic drinks to acetaldehyde, which is a toxic chemical. (1) Alcohol creates a great amount of oxidation which damages cells, RNA and DNA. (1) It also impairs your body's ability to break down and absorb many different nutrients. (1)
