As a Christian & Professional academic---truth is my banner. With that in focus---your product (Mylar Foil Bags) exceeded my Expectations.
After having tried grits with sweet corn niblets at a restaurant, I thought I would come up with a version that's more shelf stable. Prepare just one packet of instant grits with a few tablespoons of the freeze dried corn - it is a welcome treat for any morning. Make it premium by adding some bacon bits, your favorite cheese cheese, and a dash of the freeze dried jalapenos. Substitute the bacon bits with turkey sausage for a bigger protein punch. Extend the product range by using on your favorite salad for lunch or dinner. There's no reason to not keep a couple of bags in your pantry.
I know I can't! I just want to eat the whole bag all at once. But I don't. That way I get to enjoy the apples over and over again. I think that slogan came from Lay's potato chips - and I applied it to Mother Earth freeze dried apples - betcha can't eat one!
It’s just like I said in the title!
So far, the bags we’ve opened have been great! The aroma hits you immediately, and the fruit stays dry and crunchy when you make sure to seal tightly and stored in a dark environment. The foil bags do this, but I break it into batches, and put in mason jars in the dark pantry. So far so good!
I was surprise at how small the pieces some of the fruit are, almost like fruit crumbles instead of pieces (the pineapple for example), which are great for oatmeal or yogurt toppings. Those are just not very doable as stand alone finger foods for snacking, like the raspberries that are whole berries are. Not a complaint, I love using freeze dried food a variety of ways, just thought worth noting so others know what to expect!
