    slow to rehydrate

    since they're full beans, they don't rehydrate quickly. For backpacking, I would recommend the dehydrated refried beans instead, which are excellent and rehydrate quickly.

    Yes! We heartily recommend the Refried Beans (which are flakes and rehydrate super-fast)! They are a company-wide favorite! The whole beans take a few more minutes to rehydrate.
