Why Complete Multivitamin Is The Game-Changer That Your Supplement Cabinet Has Been Missing Αll This Time

Why Complete Multivitamin Is The Game-Changer That Your Supplement Cabinet Has Been Missing Αll This TimeMultivitamins are like the Macgyver of supplements, right? Weeell... We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but this is not always the case. These days, details on the actual ingredients (as well as their exact origins) often remain uncertain, making it next to impossible to know if what we're taking is worth the try. So, it doesn't come as a surprise that most multivitamin brands have fallen out of everyone's favor.
Luckily, for those of us who still want to provide our bodies with all the necessary nutrients, the Complete Multivitamin by Mother Earth Products is here to shake things up (the good way, of course). This innovative nutrient blend contains all the right ingredients and finally turns a blind eye to dubious substances which shouldn't be there in the first place.
So, if you want to do your body justice and provide it with the nutrients it needs, these real reasons will convince you to get your Complete Multivitamin today.

It's What's (Not) Inside That Counts

While most brands aim their attention to the ingredients they want to put inside their multivitamins, we -at Mother Earth Products- took a different approach. Instead, we focused on every element that is known to harm the human body and, thus, should NOT be part of this good-for-you multivitamin. So, after extensive research, here are the nutrients that didn't make the cut, and the science-backed reason behind this choice.
  • Synthetic Vitamin A or Beta-Carotene

Vitamin A and beta-carotene go together like peas and carrots. In fact, beta-carotene is considered the most dominant form of provitamin A carotenoid, which means that it converts into vitamin A if the body runs low on the nutrient. Unfortunately, most supplements out there feature the synthetic form of these elements which can't always live up to the real deal. That being said, we made sure the synthetic version of these nutrients stayed as far away from the Complete Multivitamin as possible.
  • Synthetic Vitamin E (Dl-Alpha-Tocopherol-Acetate)

Thanks to its antioxidant capacity, vitamin E is one of those nutrients we so desperately need but often fail to get enough of. But, there may be a reason for that.  Vitamin E occurs in eight natural chemical forms, only one of which (alpha-tocopherol(1)) matches to the requirements of the human body. However, this substance comes in more than one type, two of the most common being d-alpha-tocopherol and dl-alpha-tocopherol-acetate (DATA).
While the first form is just perfect for human consumption, there are some issues with the second. DATA is, in fact, a synthetic version of the first form and is, thus, less bioavailable(2) and half as potent. That means that you need to consume large quantities of the source to meet the recommended intake of the vitamin, which is as ill-advised as it sounds.
  • Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12's Source)

Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a vital role in the formation of red blood cells and the normal function of the brain and the nervous system. Cyanocobalamin is the lab-created version of the vitamin that consists of cyanine and cobalamin. Once inside the body, this compound is split, and the respective parts take action. Unfortunately, while cobalamin does its part sufficiently, cyanide(3) may block the electron transport chain of the mitochondria, which are the powerhouses of our cells.
  • Artificial Coloring

Another ingredient that we didn't want anywhere near our brand new multivitamin is artificial coloring. These synthetic substances are linked to a variety of health issues such as ADHD(4) and mitochondrial disruption(5) (which of course, means less energy for you). The ones that we deliberately put on our blacklist include Yellow#6, Blue#2, Red#40 and FD#C.
Shocking PSA: Most of these harmful substances -which we left out of the ingredient list on purpose- are often found in popular multivitamin brands.  Just sayin'.

Choosing The Right Nutrients

Once we knew which substances had no place in our (and now your) multivitamin, we focused on the ones that worth a spot. We even decided to go the extra mile and add a bunch of other nutrients which would make this multivitamin more efficient. So, here is our nutrient dream team, and the science-backed reasons behind our decisions.
  • Vitamin E

Whether we like it or not, toxins are part of our lives. However, things may start to get uncomfortable when lots of them “flood” our systems. At this point, the body's protection mode kicks in, and the antioxidant system goes all out to keep us safe. But, as efficiently as this system may be, we all need some help from time to time. So, folks, meet vitamin E.
This oft-neglected nutrient functions as a potent antioxidant(6) by neutralizing the adverse effect of toxins and helping us flush them away as efficiently as possible. Note that we included just the natural form of vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol-acetate), which is far more potent and safe than the synthetic one.
  • Beta-Carotene (CaroCare)

From keeping your skin fresh and youthful to boosting respiratory health, beta-carotene(7) is, by all means, a must-have for every well-rounded multivitamin. However, the synthetic version of the nutrient may not always be the safest choice. That's why we made sure you get exactly what you need in the most natural form possible.
Made entirely out of plants and minerals, CaroCare beta-carotene opts as a natural alternative to all the synthetic forms of vitamins out there, doing more harm than good. So, if you are set on giving up on all the artificial junk for good, the Complete Multivitamin is a safe bet.
  • Vitamin B12

Another nutrient to join our multivitamin dream team is vitamin B12 in the form of methylcobalamin. Unlike other forms of the vitamin (see: cyanocobalamin), this one is naturally occurring in animal-based foods making it far more bioavailable for the human body. This form of the vitamin can also help you keep heart disease(8) at bay.
  • Folate

A type of B vitamin that occurs naturally in many foods, folate is part of several bodily functions(9) such as red blood cell formation and growth, as well as DNA synthesis. However, this nutrient(10) is mostly known for preventing cognitive impairment, heart diseases, and even cancer. Since we couldn't ignore all these health benefits, we decided to make folate part of our Complete Multivitamin in the purest form possible - Quatrefolic.
  • Lycium (Goji Berry)

Love it or hate it, goji berries have evolved into one of the top superfoods of our era. However, even if it's packed with good-for-you nutrients, this superfood is mostly known for its antioxidant capacity, and for a good reason. Studies(11) show that this berry can significantly prevent or reduce any toxin-related health issues (lack of energy, mental performance, and even mood disorders) in just 30 days.
  • Choline

Choline is an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in several functions, including healthy brain development(12) and function and muscle movement. It even supports your energy levels(13) and helps you maintain a healthy metabolism. So, there's no doubt that this nutrient deserves to be part of a well-rounded multivitamin.
  • Boron

Between promoting bone health, reducing inflammation and optimizing the use of hormones throughout the body, boron(14) is indeed a super-nutrient. So, we simply had to include it in our multivitamin dream team and give it a chance to work its magic on your health.
  • Vanadium

Chances are you've never heard of this element before, but vanadium may be the missing link between you and a diabetes-proof metabolism. Specifically, research(15) shows that this nutrient mimics the function of insulin, helping you either prevent the metabolic disease or attenuate its symptoms. Not only that, but vanadium is also linked to a variety of other health benefits, from enhancing your weight lifting(16) performance to preventing cancer(17).

Entering the Comfort Zone

How many times have you tried to swallow a vitamin only to find yourself pushing it down your throat? Well, since we are not fans of such inconvenience, we made sure the Complete Multivitamin has just the perfect for an adult to swallow without causing any discomfort.

The Takeaway
